  • It so happens that Google has decided to upgrade its Calendar app for Android a while back and with the new enhancements it has turned into a highly appreciated offer, able to satisfy about every need.

    DigiCal

I must tell you that I haven’t been looking to replace Google Calendar, not since it has been updated to support a very attractive interface, pinch to zoom on events and lins straight to Google Maps for locations. While the offers seems highly attractive and it can be downloaded for free, there is still one alternative that offers all the same advantages and more through some interface changes and widgets.

DigiCal Calendar & Widgets by Digibites offers an improved interface that almost seems like it was made by Google. On top of that it also offers a dark theme mode that looks very good, especially on high-quality displays. Among the other features there is a unique built-in location search, event pop-up that will appear with detailed information and six unique calendar views. DigiCal also comes with four beautiful widgets (list, grid, day and day list) and supports Google Now, enabling it to notify you when it’s time to leave for your appointment by planning your route, checking traffic and calculating your travel time.

DigiCal Calendar & Widgets is available for free while for the complete functionality there is a paid offer available.
