GMail to Get a New and More Robust Inbox Interface (Video)
Not too long ago, courtesy of some leaked images straight from Google I/O 2013 we could get a glimpse of what seems to be a redesign for GMail on both the mobile platforms and the desktop interface. Now the update has gone official and announced through the Android blog for the Android 4.0+ and iOS platforms.
GMail for Android has benefited from the developer’s attention and in terms of the new releases frequency users haven’t had that many reasons for complaint. Now the Android maker has announced yet another release that offers important changes to the app’s interface. These changes were first spotted shortly after Google I/O and have now been brought to life by the official announcement.
The upcoming release for GMail will address both the Android and iOS mobile platforms. The main change is a new inbox interface that has been redesigned to stay more in touch with the latest changes brought to the Google OS. The inbox will offer a more consistent experience, making it easy to browse email boxes folders with each offering a color code that the user can handpick. GMail for Android is available and can be downloaded from the Store.
