  • The HTC One X with quad core Tegra 3 CPU was found to be acting quite sluggishly at times, by some users, but now there’s a solution. The dedicated devs have come up with a custom ROM for the international One X, based on a leaked RUU, that includes Sense 4.1 and Android 4.0.4.

Improvements were made, lots of them, fixes too in areas such as Live Wallpapers, UI speed, battery life, a new kernel and a new radio (2.1204.127.19). There’s also activated native EQs, fixed video playback on stock kernel and hardware acceleration in 3rd party video players. With this release, the One X scores almost 6,000 points in Quadrant, if you really care about benchmarks. Just imagine how much it would score with Jelly Bean now!

The lengthy changelog of the new custom ROM also shows that the handset’s software has been improved in speed in some games and its camera quality is also better now. The Tegra Zone app has been added and you can now say goodbye to Sense force reboots. Facebook and Google Street View are also taken to the latest version, but more on that in the source link below, as well as a download link or two.
