  • The number one source of revenue on the Google Play Store is through the implementation of ads in free apps that are more attractive and downloaded by a lot of users if useful. Thus there are some developers that are strictly oriented to ad supported releases.

Though most Android users choose the way of downloading free apps that are for the better part ad supported, the same users also find methods of getting rid of them, through rooting or third party ad-blocker apps. As such, Indiegogo project for SmartAds announced their intention of a smartphone app that will allow you to get paid every month for having sleek, good looking, minimialistic ads displaying on your phones lockscreen.

The company seeks for the ads to not be to intrusive and not ruin the general experience with the device. They also mention that you could be paid up to $25 per month, depending on the developer interest of adopting the solution. So far the Advertisement Group has raised a campaign for raising the sum of $50.000 for implementing the solution. They also listed some of the Pros to such a way to distribute ads:

    • Impacted minimally.
    • Paid a significant percentage of their phone bill each month.
    • Access to great deals based on interests and location.
    • Great looking ads only approved.
    • Competitions to win vacations for viewing random Smartads ads each day.
    • Unlimited referral Program to get paid even more every month for introducing friends.
    • “Why wouldn’t I do that”
