  • I like the design and new interface of the new Play Store, upgraded after Google I/O. It works very fast, swpe gestures used to navigate are very convenient and there are no gaps and unused space like in the previous versions. Sill, itțs missing something very important.

The Android Play Store offers a complete list of installed, and previously installed apps on the device. Unlike the old Play Store, where you would have a list of purchased apps in one place, the new version does not allow viewing of such a list. This is a real annoyance, having to scroll through a huge list of previously or currently installed apps to find one you purchased and want to give it another try.

Fortunately for us PaulOBrien, founder of modaco.com, managed to hack an old version of the Play Store and make it run alongside the official Play Store. With the Legacy Play Store, My apps list now lists all your paid apps that are not installed on the device. The app requires no special installing methods on devices running versions of Android pre-Jelly Bean. However, it has been found that on some Android 4.1 devices and others the app requires to be installed as a system app. I tested it on my Jelly Bean Galaxy Nexus and it worked great, without having to install it as a system app.
