  • If you’re looking for some last minute details of the latest shooter to grace the Android platform, the recent Modern Combat 4 developer diary will keep you satisfied. Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour will bring a graphical revamp, new animations based on motion capture and a technology dubbed CRAFT.

CRAFT is used to translate realistic vehicle movements and Gameloft went as far as using Rag Doll physics and the Havok engine in this game. The purpose? Well, they want to bring that RANDOM element in the game, so each time you play MC 4 you’ll get a different experience. The video below also shows a simple cover system, that I hope will be handled well by touch devices. For example NOVA 3 had excellent control, but Mass Effect for Android used too much cover.

Modern Combat 4 will be released this fall and promises to also offer you the option to fly planes and drive tanks, if I understood correctly. The game takes quite a bit from Modern Warfare and Battlefield 3 for the PC, which is good news for FPS fans. The environments in the game are highly detailed and this feels like an excellent title already, so I can’t wait to play it.
