  • Gameloft had a great success with the first digital version of the game UNO and now it’s teaming up with Mattel again to launch a new generation of the famous card game. UNO & Friends is the name of the new game and it will debut on iOS, Android smartphones and tablets, Nintendo 3DS and PS Vita.

It will also be available as a Facebook game and this title brings out social and multiplayer features. UNO was one of Gameloft’s most popular products, since its debut in 2008, with over 63 million downloads. The real novelty here is the ability to use multiplayer functions and have UNO & Friends bring together people from all over the world. Players will connect with each other by playing on smartphones, tablets and Facebook. You can challenge up to 3 players in real time and interact with them via Voice and Text chat.

UNO & Friends come to Android this year, while the console owners will get it in 2013. In case you’re not familiar with Uno, know that the object in the game is to be the first player to score 500 points. The players have 108 cards available and each player is dealt 7 cards, with the remaining ones arranged face down in a draw pile. There’s also a dealer, who must be picked by picking the highest card from all the players. You can learn more about UNO rules here.
