  • You’ve probably heard about FPS Russia, a nifty YouTube channel with real life weapons demonstrations, using soda bottles and fruit. Behind this channel there’s an American YouTube user, Kyle Lamar Myers, who dubs himself as Russian Dmitri Potapoff. He has reached a huge success and passed the 1 million subscriber mark last summer.

And now he’s heading into gaming, as Dmitri gets ready to invade Android and iOS, turning to Kickstarter for funding the game. FPS Russia: The Game features Potapoff fighting enemies, after borrowing money from “the wrong people”. The “Russian” will use his full arsenal from the YouTube channel to take on bad guys. The game is a shooter and a continuous runner, that will use elements from the YouTube channel with the same name. The cool thing is that the game will be available for free and feature in app purchases for weapons and upgrades.

On Kickstarter, the makers of the game promised to include lots and lots of weapons, very varied ones. Explosives and devices are also included here. The project has to reach a goal of $51k and with 17 days to go, it’s already at $17k, so things are looking hot! You can donate a minimum of $1 here on Kickstarter and help turn the game into reality.
