  • Foursquare recently received a makeover and an update, at least in the Android app version. The new included features are nearby friends and places on the home screen map and a “Best Nearby” button, that allows you to see locations with high ratings.

The main idea behind the update is making it easier to find the best stuff close to you. You’ll do that by exploring at the top of the home screen, so you can find what you’re looking for. The “Best Nearby” selection shows the top picks in the area. You can see friends and places nearby on the home screen map and access your to do list and other essentials with the left drawer.

Now the check in button is at the bottom left and there’s a lot more stuff to discover, but Foursquare is saying that more will be rolling out in the following weeks. Foursquare posted the pic above on their site, announcing both the update and the fact that tomorrow is Hallo… excuse me Valentine’s Day. They actually tied in the idea of the update with flowers and candies for your loved one. Cute, right? Download’s right here.
