  • Flipboard users may be happy to know that there’s a fresh update for them, one that brings a few interesting features. Flipboard folks recently got an update that allows them to create their own magazines, but that was limited to iOS.

Well, not anymore, as the Android users can get the same treatment now. Magazine curation is now available on Flipboard for Android and the idea of creating a magazine is simple: you tap the plus button, visible on each article inside the app and use the boomarklet when surfing the web. This gives the user a personalized way to collect posts, images and videos and share ideas on Flipboard.

The new Android version also adds some unique features, like the ability to “flip” content into your magazines via the share button built into many Android apps. Aside from the existing social network integration, Flipboard includes a proprietary share button on the magazine covers. This means you can create and share magazines via SMS, email or even Pinterest.
