  • The famous app Flipboard just got updated, in its Android version. First famous on iOS, the app was very welcome when it hit Android and was very well received by the public. The Flipboard app received an update in the Google Play Store, that not only brought bug fixes, but also improved performance.

Flipboard strives to offer readable content, well organized text on the screen and watchable content as well. There’s a new TV section available in the app, with a list of videos shown by interest and pulled from popular YouTube channels. The topics include Influencer TV, that allows you to get big ideas from innovators and creative thinkers, with TED Talks lectures included as well. There are also Big Think videos on “The Search of Life on Mars” and “Seeing Sound, Tasting Color: Synasthesia”.

There’s also Music TV, with the latest indie music videos and NPR Music’s Tiny Desk Concert series for more intimate sessions with emerging artists. Pitchfork TV will give you live show moments, like “Bjork Dedicates “Declare Independence” to Pussy Riot”. There’s also Science TV and News TV, with both names speaking for themselves. And finally the app includes Catwalk TV, for the latest fashion trends and shows in Paris, Milan, Tokyo, New York and more. Flipboard is up for download here.
