  • And here we are, with yet another Final Fantasy title arriving to Android and iOS. I’m talking about Final Fantasy Dimensions, that’s coming to Android next week. After seeing Final Fantasy III and FF I on this platform already, more Final Fantasy can’t be wrong, am I right? Square Enix confirmed the global launch of Dimensions for August 31st.

The prologue will be free, but the first chapter will cost $2.99 and the 2-4 chapters are priced at $9.99. The whole package can be bought for the amount of $28.99. Dimensions features 2D pixel art and a side scrolling battle system with a turn based battle mechanism, that’s famous throughout the entire game series. The prologue focuses on the adventures of the Avalonian Empire and a story that involves light, darkness and crystals.

In other news, there will be an anniversary 25 years Final Fantasy event in Tokyo, where we might see new announcements. Back to Dimensions, it’s nice to see that we can have a party of 5 characters and more abilities and actions (steal/martial arts), compared to the usual Attack/Magic/Summon/Item recipe. I wonder how long it’s going to be till a full fledged Final Fantasy comes to Android, something like FF VII.
