  • That’s one of the reasons to hate the discrepancy between game launches on iOS and Android: fake games appear on Android and claim to be real thing, plaguing devices and infecting them. This is happening to Temple Run 2 right now, with the game being available on iOS and coming soon to Android, but not just yet.

There are a bunch of fake apps that are fooling people by copying the name of the app and getting downloads fast. Temple Run 2 has reached a hefty number of million downloads on iOS and it will probably get the same treatment on Android, but only in a couple of days, not now. Google is already handling the fakes and taking down Temple Run 2 app copycats. Expect more fakes to appear and usually it’s a good idea to check out the reviews and number of stars that the app has before downloading it.

The developer also confirmed that the apps are fake on its Twitter account and congratulated Google for acting so fast and taking them down. A quick Google search usually helps you figure out what the app is about or if the developer is legit. Once again, the launch date of Temple Run 2 for Android is January 24th 2013.
