  • Evernote has just received an important update of its Android application, taking it to version 4.3. There are a couple of free and premium features to look into, with the first including a simplified toolbar in the note editor, that allows you to jump straight to the notes created in Skitch.

A new premium feature allows the user to select multiple notebooks at once and download them in order to access them offline. The interface of the app on tablets has been revamped as well, with the action bar changing depending on the context of the viewing. Offline Notebooks is the most popular premium feature of Evernote, claims its developer, letting the user download as many notebooks as he wants directly to the phone or tablet. Notes and any attachments can then be accessed quickly from the device.

Evernote premium offers 1 GB of monthly uploads, faster support, PDF search and much more. The Note Editor toolbar on Android that just got cleaner had its non-editing tools and options taken out, for a simpler view. What was taken out from it was placed into the Action Bars along the top of the note. Users can hide the toolbar by tapping on the arrow if they want. You should also know that now Evernote has a separate widget app available from Google Play, that helps you create notes from your device’s desktop. Evernote 4.3 for Android is up for download here.
