  • If you like endless running games, then you’ll love Gold Diggers, although it brings a different twist on the standard idea of endless runners. Developed by Gamistry Games, the title will have the player digging endlessly for gold, while trying to stay ahead of a huge worm that eats people.

The idea of this free runner is that you don’t actually run towards a horizon like usual titles like Temple Run or Pitfall, but rather you descend into the depths of the Earth and keep digging towards the bottom of the screen, while being chased by the worm. The developers of the title describe it as a cross between Jetpack Joyride and Mega Worm, where players use crazy machines to keep digging downwards through layers of Earth, as you hung for gold.

You can change drill parts in order to harvest the gold and try not to get eaten by that giant worm that will chase you around. You also have to avoid the burning lava around you. The characters are fully animated and each gold digger has different skills. There’s no tilt needed, as the game employs an intuitive and polished steering mechanic. The game is coming to Android soon, although we don’t quite know exactly when.
