  • Nuance Communications, Inc is currently in the lead with several apps for the Android platform, including the more familiar Swype Keyboard that is one of the most popular apps of all time. The developers response to the voice-activated assistants that are so popular on the market is called Dragon.

    Dragon

Nuance’s Dragon has received some more abilities with its latest upgrade to version 3.0. The app is the company’s response to the likes of Siri and Google Now and has been rated as a farley good offer in this regard. Still it has a lot to improve to be as competitive as the aforementioned and the latest upgrade is nothing short of a step in the right direction.

Dragon (Hands-Free Assistant) now comes with a few new abilities, like the one that allows you to share your location on a map with friends, or ask them for their location (regardless of whether they have Dragon on their phone). You now can reply to incoming messages hands-free, by using your voice and also Bluetooth devices are now supported. Here’s the full changelog for the app that you can download for free from the Play Store:

    * Share your location on a map with friends, or ask them for their location (regardless of whether they have Dragon on their phone)
    * Automatically dial into meetings with phone numbers or conference-dialing info in calendar entries
    * Hands-free reply to incoming text messages
    * Bluetooth devices are now supported
We look forward to working quickly to incorporate fixes and new features. We hope you enjoy!
