  • A couple of months ago, while playing with the Huawei P9 Lite, I took the game Dots & co: a Puzzle Adventure for a spin. The game is available for free in the Play Store and it was launched in July this year. It’s part of the acclaimed Dots series and it simply involves connecting dots… with style.

There are also special characters with special powers that boost your abilities. You can unite dots in the shape of a square to eliminate a certain color and unite not only dots, but also triangles to get rid of all dots of a certain color from the playing field. There are 15 different mechanics here and of course limited moves each round.

There’s also a set of “lives”, that run out if you lose too many matches. Gameplay is swipe-based and I totally loved the zen music in the background. It’s specifically composed for this game. There are 155 levels available and you can also use boosts before starting up a level. The companions will load up their power by connecting the triangles that appear on the playing field.

Then there are the swirling dots, that change the colors of dots around them. There’s an energy system here and even a currency, that offers extra moves, if spent. Usually very simple games like this one tend to get frustrating later on, but this is not the case, since the title remained relaxing till the end. We enjoyed playing the game and that’s what matters the most.

We give it a 9.3 out of 10 and recommend you try it out. You can get it here.
