  • The famous Dolphin Browser, one of the most beloved Android browsers received an important update recently. The update was released on August 3rd and it brings the current version to 8.7.0. This app requires Android 2.0.1 and up and takes up 3.6MB of space. It’s made by Dolphin and it’s obviously a free application, with over 10 million total downloads till now.

In the new version Dolphin Browser HD becomes Dolphin Browser and now the bookmark deletion is made more visually accessible, with an easier visual way to edit bookmarks. The Dolphin Sonar offers easier access with a shortcut from the homescreen. The Dolphin Connect is faster and offers more stable sync, while the Address bar has a clearer design for bookmarked URLs and typing search items. Keyboard entry for address bar in landscape view has been optimized on certain devices.

Other than that you get the usual stability and performance enhancements. For those of you not familiar with the features of the Dolphin Browser, know that the Sonar feature allows Dolphin to listen to the user and lets him use the voice for Internet searches, sharing on social networking sites, bookmarking sites and navigation. There’s also gesture control with personalized symbols for accessing mobile and desktop sites. You can download the new version from here.
