Die Hard Review: Endless Running and Gunning With Very Slow Pace (Video)
The premise of a Die Hard game is always a good one, especially on a mobile device, where you can play games in small doses and take them lightly. Die Hard for Android is a movie tie-in with the new chapter in the movie series called “A Good Day to Die Hard”. The game comes from Fox and it’s an endless runner packing a bit of a punch.
The game takes up 30 MB and we played it on the Allview P5 Quad handset, a quad core budget phone from Eastern Europe. This game is available for free and it’s basically Temple Run with guns. It all takes place in Russia, where you play as Jack McClane, the son of the tough cop John McClane, played by the famous Bruce Willis in the Die Hard movies. You will run on the streets of Moscow and swipe to sides to change lanes, while turning automatically and swiping down to reload the gun, or swiping up to jump.
The endless runner will have you wielding guns, uzis, shotguns and you can even switch characters and play with the special agent Collins. There’s even a sort of bullet time event, with an adrenaline mode that will allow you to shoot enemies more precisely, through a moving target that swipes on the screen. We give this game an 8 out of 10 mostly because it’s too slow and you can download it from here by the way.
