CyanogenMod 11 Gets M7 Update, Android 4.4.3 Included in Next Release in July

  • As Android 4.4.3 is rolling out to some Nexus devices out there, Cyanogen decided to release the M7 version of CyanogenMod 11. The next release, M8 will come in July, complete with Android 4.4.3 features.

    The latest M7 build offers bug fixes and a few welcome features including Glass support for the CM calculator. We also get password protection for apps and right now over 50 Android devices can install the M7. This version is based on Android 4.4.2 and lets users customize their device’s interface and take more control of their gadgets. The changelog includes a theme chooser UI revamp, a calculator app redesign, performance profiles and FFMPEG support in the media player.

    Bluetooth is now supported for extra car audio systems and docks we also get several other bug fixes and features. The M7 is able to run on devices with as low as 512 MB of RAM, which is good. Performance Profiles is a CM feature that allows you to opt for low battery settings or high power modes for gamer users. Have you installed this yet? There’s a download link here.
