  • It appears that we’ve got the very first custom ROM for the Nexus 7 2013. This is CyanogenMod 10.2, based on Android 4.3, available now as nightlies and pushed on some devices.

Those devices include some Samsung models, the new Nexus 7 and you’ll need the Gapps flashable ZIP to access the Play Store with it. There’s a 4.3 version of Gapps available here and the list of supported devices has Samsung Captivate, Galaxy S III and Galaxy S Relay 4G on it. Builds will come in alphabetical order based on their maker and CyanogenMod codename.

You can get the first batch of nightlies from here and expect progress over the following hours and days. I expect to see this flavour of CyanogenMod on many Samsung devices that won’t actually get Android 4.3 like… ever or at least in 2013, since Samsung is known to be a slacker in this area.
