  • Just a short while ago we covered the news about the Beat Superuser app available from Koush, the one behind ClockworkMod and one of the most powerful backup apps for Android, named Carbon.  Now we have some good news for all the rooted users as they have another great option on the Store.

Rooting your device means also installing an app as part of the system to manage the permissions of the software that requires special privileges. As so, there aren’t many alternatives on the Store to Superuser. The most popular and convenient, that has been available since a long time, is made by ChainsDD and it offers extra functionality through the purchasing of the Pro version. The other is made by Chainfire and called SuperSU. The latter is the newest of the two and, like the first, it offers extra functionality if you are willing to spend a few.

Koush believes that rooting and installing Superuser on your device should be free and he’s right. The two mentioned above are not Open-Source like Coush’s Superuser thus you are charged for the extra functionality that only the developer can decide if to add or not. In this case we are talking about an app that offers the same features, if not more then the payed versions, and it can be enhanced by anyone wishing to do so. If you are already thinking of replacing your Superuser app, this is the perfect choice.
