  • Chameleon Launcher is one of the cool Kickstarter-supported projects for Android, that customize your experience totally. Well, you should know that the now the launcher is available as a beta version for a select number of people. You can download it from the Play Store, but only if you backed the project and input your email address after registering with the company previously.

Also, if you fear using this app because of the many one star ratings, know that those people probably freaked out when they saw that the app didn’t do anything. That’s probably because they didn’t back the project and couldn’t install the software. If you want details about Chameleon, this project created by Teknision offered a bunch of connected widgets, great for Android tablets. This is a great replacement for the usual widget framework and also involves the choice of a static or live wallpaper.

Widgets may vary, from services such as Netflix, Facebook or Twitter to simple applications like Music and Feeds. You can easily edit and resize the widgets as you please. The idea behind Chameleon is to adapt to the tablet’s surroundings. How? By changing the form of the widgets depending on the time of day or the GPS location of the user. You can have your own collection of apps for the morning, another for work and another for the evening, at home. So, it’s all contextual transformation of widgets and apps/services. Tempted?
