  • Castlestorm may feel like Heroes at first, but it’s actually an interesting combo between an RTS and a physics puzzler game. The title is entering a beta phase, as it prepares for its Android debut and the credit for making this possible goes to makers Zen Studios.

Castlestorm also has tower defense elements, so it’s not 100% RTS. You will be throwing catapults towards enemy castles and also sending ground troops to do more damage. The visuals are very nice looking, especially since we’ve got 3D graphics here. You get distinct troop classes, weapons, spells and even bonus areas.

There are 8 playable hero characters to use and new spells for the mobile version. If you want to participate in the beta, know that it’s available as a private testing phase using cloud technology. You need to access this Google Group and put in your application there. You’ll be notified if you can take part in the beta testing or not.
