Carbon for Android is a Very Promising Twitter Client, Maybe the Best (Video)

  • Frankly speaking, the Carbon for Android app may just be the best Twitter client I’ve seen, especially when it comes to UI. This client originated on the webOS platform and it’s very smooth, plus it looks fantastic, with that black/elegant/transparent UI.

I also like the “rotating square” animation when you switch between screens, as shown in the video below. The app will be free and it will be released this month, both being excellent news for people looking for a solid Twitter app. The decision was not necessarily taken because the developers are generous, but rather because Google doesn’t allow developers from the United Arab Emirates to post paid apps yet. The team behind Carbon wanted to make an announcement at I/O 2012, but the product wasn’t ready at that time.

So, free app, black/transparent UI, swiping with cool effects checked, what more do you need? Even in the alpha phase the application looks amazing. Smooth transitions and an UI that seems to fit the Jelly Bean/ICS experience will make this a hit. Are you ready to switch to Carbon for Android?
