  • As busy as the market may seem there is always room for another handset and another OS or both. With Android evolving at such a rapid pace, few have the courage to get into the game with a new software and try to win the users from there or from iOS.

Ubuntu Phone is the most promising challenger on the mobile OS market we’ve seen in the last two years or so. The OS has captured everyone’s attention due to its w ease of use and mature experience, along with all the possibilities of a fully grown PC OS. Canonical has invested great efforts into their OS for mobile devices and plan on investing into the development of apps and features for the platform.

Touch Developer Preview for Ubuntu Phone will be available for the Galaxy Nexus and Nexus 4, starting this month on the 21st. Developers will also gain access to the SDK for developing touch apps for this new and exciting OS. Canonical has also promised to reward all the owners of a compatible Nexus device that will visit their stand at MWC this year, by flashing a pre-release version of the Ubuntu Phone OS. Since the release of the preview this month, Ubuntu Phone will be very frequently maintained and improved, with a final release maybe available at the end of this year.
