  • How is it that the choice of homescreen replacements for Android has become so wide we don’t know but the main fact is that the users have to benefit the most from these additions. These days almost no one seems to be using the stock Android interface provided by the manufacturer, instead going for one that could be a lot faster and feature-packed.

The main reason for people wanting to go with a custom launcher is the customization features most integrate. The main aspect is that theming can be done very easy, by just downloading and installing one from the Store and then applying it with a custom launcher. There are variants like Nova or Apex that are very popular and available for Android 4.0+. The other version prior ICS can go for something like Go Launcher or Holo Launcher. That is one of the negative aspects of Buzz Launcher Beta, is that it only works for Android 4.0.3+.

In terms of customization options, Buzz launcher is based on the concept of social sharing and even without an account you are able to download any creation through the built-in interface. The launcher provides the ability to keep and apply multiple themes, and also create and share your own. With Buzz Launcher there is a Custom Widget creator that can be downloaded to make your own styles. You also get some of the more popular abilities, like the option to change an app’s icon or customize the app-grid interface. The app seems to work very well, though there is the ocasional lag or stutter that may be fixed in the final release.

Buzz Launcher Beta is provided for free on the Play Store.
