  • There are not that many good RPG titles available on mobiles, especially those to use modern 3D graphics for a console like experience. The problem with this type of games is implementing good controls while taking advantage of the complexity of the genre. RPG titles are most played on our PC’s and MMO games have become the most popular way of spending countless hours in front of our PC’s. Can a smartphone game bring the same delightful experience?

Beasts & Blades comes from developer Seattletek and has stirred quite a lot of interest when it was announced for the first time. The title has much to offer, including well designed 3D graphics and immersive battles. The game is part of the Kickstarter project and will be available on OUYA – the Android based console that has been in the center of attention for some time. It will be also available on other devices part of the Kickstarter project and soon to be released to the market.

Beasts & Blades beta is offered for free and is now available on the Google Play Store. It offers all the features of a classic RPG title, with warrior classes, skills and upgrades, including beautiful graphics and exciting battles.  You will have to fight your way through monsters, and explore dark dungeons and large areas. On your way you will need to find and collect health potions, aether (MP) potions, artifacts and relics, gold, diamonds, weapons and upgrades to your existing weapons, to help you advance in your quest. The battles are turn based so you can take your time to increase your skills and form strategies for defeating your enemies. There is also a paid version of the title that will add a ton of new features including many extra hours of gameplay. Below you can watch the game in action:
