  • While most us us enjoy what we call serious games, such as Shine Runner or Riptide GP, on our Android smartphone, we need to be reminded that the purpose of these games is to have fun. Good graphics are not everything and appealing or addictive gameplay can make us forget about the quality of the design and set it apart just to have fun.

Beach Buggy Blitz comes from the same developer responsible for the aforementioned titles offers just that – lots and lots of fun – while it does not sacrifice on graphics quality. The purpose of the game is to race and compete against AI buggies while avoiding the destructible objects set in your path. Progress is extended each time you reach one of the checkpoints and you need to go as fast as you can so you don’t run out of time. You will get a variety of powerups and gadgets that are available to improve your chances of success.

Unfortunately the game was launched not to long ago and it has proved compatible only with a handful of devices. The developers have been working to make it available for even more devices and they have just released an update to extend the compatibility list. The title was primarily made for Tegra devices and owners of smartphones like the HTC One X or LG Optimus 4X can enjoy extra effects, such as realistic water splashes and flying debris when you smash through the various obstacles on the island. On top of that the new update brought  “Grim Rod” car and two spooky new characters, a Coin Doubler in-app purchase to double your earning power and memory optimizations.

Download  Beach Buggy Blitz for free, from the Play Store.
