  • Boy, am I happy to hear this! Baldur’s Gate, one of the favourite games I played as a child is now back, this time on Android. The game’s release date is September 18th 2012 and there’s a special offer that allows you to buy the game now for $17.99, instead of the usual $19.99. The game is a RPG created by BioWare back in the days when games were great and it takes place in the Forgotten Realms.

Combining elements of Dungeons & Dragons and RPG, this title offers an improved gaming experience based on the Infinity Engine. The Enhanced Edition includes the entire Baldur’s Gate adventure, the Tales of the Sword Coast expansion pack and brand new content. The latter is a new adventure with 3 fresh party members: Calishite monk Rasaad yn Bashir, Neera the wild mage and Dorn Il Khan, the evil blackguard. Over 400 improvements were brought to the original title and the game supports improved multiplayer with connectivity to all platforms.

The game will have in app purchases that include a new portrait and voice sets. Now imagine playing the same game on the PC, Mac, Android and iPad at the same time in multiplayer. In case you want details, know that Baldur’s Gate Enhanced Edition is made by Overhaul Games, published by Atari and distributed by Beamdog. This remake is more of a revamp with some new content and the classic content we loved back in 1998. The good news continues, as work is now in progress for an enhanced version of Baldur’s Gate II.

Pfff, this one is rather too expensive. Hope that a better offer, like 50% discount will be available, because every game that I rushed to buy, was half the price after a month or so.
