Babel Rising 3D Review: God Game With 3D Graphics, a bit Sadistic but Fun (Video)
“God games” were big back in the days, with titles like Populous and Black & White being very appreciated and well sold. Now this segment gets moved to mobile, where we find Babel Rising 3D!, an Android god game that we reviewed a while back and we found to be very fun. We tested it on the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1, in case you’re wondering.
The game is available for free and it takes up 48 MB of space. The concept goes like this: you’re an angry god who punishes heretics for building the Babylon tower. They keep adding elements to the structures and you rain fire on them, throw rocks at them, quakes, rain and other divine elements. Aside from the workers you’ll face priests, who protect the workers against certain elements, so you have to hit a priest protected against fire with rocks and one protected against earth with fire.
Aside from the solo campaign, with mission after mission to play and an update with the Ishtar gate, there’s also an epic survival mode to play. 3D graphics look fantastic and you can really tweak up the settings and enjoy beautiful lightning effects, great physics and other stuff like that, especially on a powerful device. There are 4 elements to master: fire, air, earth and water, each with their own attacks. 15 missions are available and control is based on gestures applied on the touchscreen. We give the game a 9 out of 10 and you can download it from here.
