  • Since the debut of the first version of the official Facebook app for Android,  many of the users that got a chance to test the app, or that had been using an alternative  chose to take another path rather then stick to the so slow and buggy official version. A great deal of time later and Facebook still has some problems managing its app for Android, though itțs looking like things could change.

There are not that many really good alternatives when it comes to mobile apps for the number one social network provider. Facebook has made sure in some ways that only their app provides a complete experience, even though a very slow an buggy one. As for the new Facebook Home, announced yesterday, it is a home replacement for the stock Android one that also provides a lockscreen an quick access to the most popular Facebook. Still we are here to talk about a good alternative that manages to come very close to perfection.

Flipster For Facebook manages to leave a more than good impression from the very first time you access it. It provides a very clean holo interface that keep the app looking very stylish and also fast. The developer also managed to keep it at a very light size, one of the lightest ever for speed concerns. Feature wise this app is not to be underestimated. Even at only about 2.2 MB in size it integrates 12 themes, access to your news feed  comments, posts and even high resolution images with just a few taps. It also includes a built-in birthday calendar, the ability to check upcoming/past events in Flipsters event calendar, and support for private messages. On the Play Store developer Dominik Ridjic offers it in both free and pro – paid form.
