  • One app that hasn’t benefited from notable changes during Google’s I/O event this year is GMail, that since the event was rumored to get a new version also supporting some interface changes. In this regard the latest leaked info from the event show some style redesigns for what may be an upcoming release.

One aspect Google seems to have wanted to integrate in case of its apps refers to interface changes more on the lines of the Google Now – cards UI. One most relevant example in the new version of Google Drive, offering the new style with the only recently released version. GMail has also been spotted supporting some interface changes that even though may not seem major for some are immediately evident.

Among others, the new style for GMail seems to want to include a new navigation drawer. Unlike the current release, it will be available when swiping to the right side, in a similar manner to some of the other newer Google apps. The bottom action bar has also been removed, to make room for more accessible interaction features. There is no word when the new version supporting the new look might be released, though the final can include even more changes.
