Angry Birds Space Red Planet Review – Pretty Challenging Levels and a Nice Update (Video)
With the occasion of the arrival of the Curiosity Rover on Mars, Rovio released a new Angry Birds Space update called Red Planet. You get 20 new levels to play and they take place on the famous red planet Mars. This one brings pieces of magma, geysers and more challenges.
There have been two recent updates for Angry Birds, the one for Seasons, called Back to School, that was way too easy and this one, that’s actually a bit harder. I actually found myself using the Mighty Eagle to complete some hard levels, I have to admit. The cool gravity concept is still here, but now it’s powered by the steam, that deviates trajectories and makes everything harder. You have all the famous birds available, from the green and fat Frankenstein bird, to the yellow tiny one that blows up to huge sizes.
Around the levels you’ll find that pigs have stolen Mars rovers, that you can touch to reach special bonus levels. They’re filled with crystals and well placed pigs, that are pretty hard to hit. So, if you avoid pieces of exploding magma and steam and hit the space pigs on the red planet, you’ll be all done in about one hour. We give the game a 9 out of 10 and you can download it from here.
