  • We could have seen this coming! Rovio took advantage of the recent NASA mission on Mars and the arrival of the Curiosity rover on the Red Planet and released an update for Angry Birds Space. Said update sees NASA and Angry Birds teaming up to watch the birds and piggies fight over the Curiosity Mars Rover. The pigs have taken over the rover and they’re searching for eggs this time!

The birds must stop the hijacking, in order to restore the rover to its original mission: searching for ice crystals. The update brings 20 fiery levels and two antenna egg levels. You get to dodge volcanoes and fire asteroids and say hello to the brand new astronaut pig. You can also find 3 hidden rovers and landers to get special bonus levels and find out more about NASA missions.

The update came must hours ago and you should know that the game requires Android 1.6 and up. Angry Birds Space was released early this year and it brought 130 space-theme levels on planets and in zero gravity, with ice planets, fiery planets and other places out of this world to do pig battle on. You can get the new levels from here.
