  • Angry Birds 2 has finally landed today in all the relevant app stores, with the predicted IAPs associated. The game is available for free from Rovio, but it includes lives, that once used up, take 30 minutes to replenish.

At least you can watch a video to get more lives, but in the end you’ll spend gems eventually. The gameplay remains true the core of the Angry Birds series, which means throwing birds from a slingshot towards pigs. You can use a new bird, objects in levels, even spells. Levels are multi staged now and boss battles have also been included.

To me the graphics look cartoonish, but at the same time more polished. Just look at the rain falling and you’ll see what I mean. The quantity of destructible objects has increased and the animations of pigs and background portions are more complex now. Rovio has promised freebies if you finish the first world over the next two weeks, so early adopters will be happy to get them. You can get the game here.
