  • We’ve seen an interesting Bluetooth controller for Android games recently and now we’ve got a similar product ready to enter the Kickstarter project phase. There are some of you, I’m sure who would prefer a portable game controller to the touch experience on your smartphone or tablet. Well for that we have iMpulse.

This device is a multifunctional Bluetooth accessory that will clip to the keychain, so it’s that small. The gadget does more stuff than just control video games. It can activate an alarm on your device if you lose your smartphone and help you find it. It’s also a pretty good media controller, allowing you to stream video content from the tablet or smartphone to the TV easier. iMpulse is also used to remotely activate the shutter for the smartphone camera, a brilliant feature if you want to strike a pose in groups at the distance.

The developers say that the product will also come to iOS and so far it has reached $29,800 in raised money, more than half of the goal of $49.999 and there are 40 days to go. Deliveries will start in February of 2013 and there are already hundreds of games supported by the controller. The iMpulse controller needs you to pledge $30 to get it and if you pay over $45 you will get a custom version with a metalized finish. A version called the TwiMpulse Duel is also available with two player mode for $60 or more pledgers.
