  • Android 4.4 KitKat has been the topic of speculations for a long while now and we’re starting to see the first screenshots related to the apps it bundles. What you see below is the Play Store version 4.4, that may come separately compared to KitKat, remember that!

We’ve seen this approach before, with a new Gmail or YouTube launched ahead of a new Android. The biggest change in Play Store 4.4 is the hamburger slide out navigation. The current version of the app is Play Store 4.3.11, that had everything crammed into a menu. Now there are two sections: the slide out navigation with the tabs Store Home, My Apps, My Movies & TV (and more), My wishlist and Redeem and the other section, the menu, that includes Settings and Help.

This is all work in progress, so it could change. Rumors are saying that Google could change the whole UI and make everything card-like. The UI changes will be similar to the ones brought by the latest Gmail update. Play Store 4.4 could come with Android 4.4, but that’s not a certainty.
