  • Android 4.3 wasn’t even mentioned at Google I/O 2013, but it appears we’re going to get the update after all and also pretty soon. The latest Android release may come in June or July after all, but without a big launch. We have a couple of theories listed below.

The Android 4.3 update is rumored to be a minor update, one that will be decoupled from Google services and apps, that will come to all Android devices out there. I’m talking about the gaming services, maps app and music service, all of them decoupled for Android 4.3. Taylor Wimberly, the founder of the blog Android and Me is saying that Android 4.3 will ship a white Nexus 4 phone , that will hit the Google Play Store on June 10.

Wimberly claims that he has seen the white handset during Google I/O  and supposedly snapped a picture of it. In the meantime, he also claims that the OS may bring improvements such as an upgrade in developer API, support for Bluetooth Smart and support for OpenGL ES 3.0. Another theory is that Google may unveil a new Nexus 7 device with Android 4.3 in July during a special event.
