  • Last week’s Google I/O came and went by without a major Android release announcement, so we’re still waiting for Android 4.3. It’s rumored to either come in June on a white Nexus 4 or in July on the Nexus 7 2. In the meantime we spotted a leak, that shows us some UI screenshots.

The leak comes from XDA, where a user posted some shots taken in during a mobile expo taking place in Thailand. There’s a Nexus 4 running the OS and it’s a totally new build number, JWR45B. Also, the new build is a kernel that was created in May, so even more proof that we’re dealing with Android 4.3. Only a few pictures were made, but we do have a video below to show us the goods in action.

Notice how we get a new camera interface, or semi new, since the controls have been moved to the side instead of the focus area. The UI hasn’t been changed in a radical way, so this is probably yet another Jelly Bean release, not KLP. Also, if you judge by the video below the whole UI seems even faster than on Android 4.2 or 4.1, but that’s only my personal opinion.
