  • ADW has been the favorite custom launcher of many Android users, since a long time ago. It is the launcher of choice for CyanogenMod 7 and below and it includes a very large number of options and features. ADW is practically the one to set the bar for many custom launchers that copied some of the options it offered. On top of that, ADW also allows for installing themes, with a very large number available on the Store, in both free and paid versions.

With the launch of Android 4.0 ICS, it seemed like ADW had been left behind. Even if the launcher had not benefited from an update for some time, it still remained the choice of many. However, with Android going from ICS to Jelly Bean, many of its fans started going in a different direction, choosing a launcher like Apex or Nova, with a modern look and the same impressive number of features. That is until today, when ADW has come back with changes to everything, from the icon to the entire interface.

ADW now looks and feels like it should on the Jelly Bean platform. It still retains the same very large number of options, including gestures, available in the launcher settings. Some users though have posted complains that features that have been available in the free version, now require the purchase of the EX version. The developer posted a video to show some of the thing that are new. Watch it below:

Download the new version of ADW for free or purchase ADW EX for an extended list of options.
