  • As most already know, Sony is also among the very few to customize the Andoid interface for their mobile devices with style, and we haven’t heard complains about them ruining the experience. Thus is the case with their flagship device – the Sony Xperia Z that comes with a new interface.

Though launched with Android Jelly Bean, the Sony Xperia Z launcher has been successfully ported for Android devices 4.0.3 and up, by developer ra3al. The flagship Sony smartphone comes with a new interface that is as good looking as ever and also very functional, providing features such as a search engine and folders in the app drawer by default. More so with the customization features the developer has added to it, it is one of the best available for Android right now.

As other custom launchers that have made a great name for themselves, the Advanced Xperia Z Launcher offers a lot of features and options for changing about every aspect of it. It supports custom icon themes that you can download from the Play Store, changing the style of the dock, the homescreen and drawer grid and a lot more. Icons can be categorized in alphabetical order, by latest, most used or in your own order and for rooted devices it is possible to add widgets through the standard interface. It also manages to be very fast, on top of the added functionality.

It is a pity that the Advanced Xperia Z Launcher hasn’t reached the Play Store and it probably never will, for obvious reasons. In any case you can download it from here and follow the dedicated Xda thread.
