  • If you’re looking for an efficient method to learn how to play acoustic guitar, there’s an Android app for that! It’s called Acoustic Guitar Method: E-Folk and now costs 50% cheaper than usual. You’ll get it for a bit under $4 on Google Play Store. The app is made by E-Guitar, requires Android 2.1 and up and takes up 9 MB of space.

Using this application you can play and understand the basics of acoustic guitar chords and fingertips. The software promises to give you full knowledge of acoustic guitar chords and finger placements in less than 2 months. You don’t even need musical knowledge to use the app. It includes 11 original lessons and each one increases the level of difficulty. You get lessons of theory, tabs, informations and even videos related to the learning process. Autoscrolling tablature is also available in portrait and landscape mode.

The first lesson is the most basic one: how to hold a guitar, play notes on the neck, tune the guitar and read tablatures. The second lesson is all about right hand fingering and simple arpeggios. You get text and clickable pictures in the app, to expand your knowledge. You can download the app from here.
