Aces of the Luftwaffe Review: Vertical Plane Shooter With Pretty High Level of Difficulty (Video)

  • While playing with the handset Allview A5 Quad I also tested some games on it, such as the Aces of the Luftwaffe title. This is a free title, that’s quite hard to play and fits within the vertical plane shooter segment.


    It has a prety high level of difficulty, as shown in the video review below. You can upgrade your plane, choose a new pilot and face tough bosses, including zeppelins and such. You get powerups along the way, like extra wingmen or various shooting patterns. The action of the game takes place during World War II and you play as a pilot of the Allies fighting Nazis.

    You collect medals as the main currency and use them to upgrade. The controls are simply, since you are only required to move left and right, up or down. There’s also the occasional special attack, that pretty much cleans up the screen. The game remains quite hard to play, but at least it’s free. Sadly, it’s also repetitive. We give it a 7 out of 10 and you can download it from here.
