  • The HBO hit A Game of Thrones has developed beyond the TV screens and got a companion app, or better said second screen functionality via the Xbox 360 SmartGlass. Now it also gets an a specialized Android app called “A Game of Ice and Fire”, previously available on iOS.

This software acts as an official guide to the series and its many characters, plus the relationships between them and the political background of it all. This is basically your guidebook to understanding the show. The app is initially available for free and it comes with a couple of characters, plus a companion for the first book, but for books two to five you will need to upgrade and pay $1 per boor or $5 for the whole pack, plus an extra InfoPack, that sets you back $2 by itself.

The InfoPack comes with new characters, locations and extra information and background details. The third season of A Game of Thrones starts on March 31st and the app arrives just in time for that. The good news is that you can get all the info you need even offline o you can enjoy all the joys of Westeros even with the WiFi off. The app is available here.
